Abstract: Echocardiographic Doppler imaging of intracardiac blood flow is useful for visualisation of clinically significant flow alteration. However, Doppler imaging is limited by angle-dependency and aliasing. Blood speckle imaging (BSI) is a novel blood flow visualisation technology that overcomes these limitations of conventional Doppler imaging, but its clinical utility is unknown. We conducted a systematic review on clinical use of BSI.
