About CRIKEY

Founded and produced by Australia’s Critical Care Research Group, CRIKEY is an invitation-only ‘think tank’ for robust conversations that challenge our understanding of critical care medicine and build collaborations that have the potential to change practice and improve outcomes globally.

Across an ambitious multi-city programme, CRIKEY brings together thought leaders in critical care, emerging researchers, engineers, clinicians and patients for four days of tours, talks, scientific presentations, research debates and unique networking opportunities designed to catalyse new perspectives.

Tuesday 23 February 2027

• Tours of the Critical Care Research Group’s purpose-built labs, including largest preclinical ICU in the southern hemisphere

• Coach transfer to Gold Coast, approx. 1.5 hour drive

• Welcome to Country with First Nations people and opening session

At CRIKEY, we blur the lines between speakers and audience, with all participants asked to contribute equally and openly, and uphold the egalitarian nature of the Summit.

If you would like to give a talk, please indicate your interest when registering. Programme, including invitations to present, will become available as the delegation is finalised and remain at the sole discretion of the International Advisory Committee and Organising Committee.

Inclusions

You have been identified by our International Advisory Committee and Organising Committee to attend this exclusive event. You only have to cover the cost of your flights (and relevant insurances/visa applications if necessary) and we will take care of the rest! Your accommodation, meals, activities, entertainment and select transfers will all be covered.*

Early and mid-career researchers (EMCRs) travel stipends

At CRIKEY, we value and champion the critical role emerging researchers play in driving international, multidisciplinary collaboration. Nurturing early-career talent is core to our purpose as we create career pathways for the next generation of leaders. About the Critical Care Research Group (CCRG)

Established in 2004 by Professor John Fraser AO, CCRG is one of Australia’s leading multidisciplinary research organisations. Headquartered in Brisbane at The Prince Charles Hospital, CCRG is dedicated to improving our clinical understanding of the many issues that face critically ill patients and finding new and revolutionised interventions for hard-to-treat diseases.
