Abstract: Limited antimicrobial penetration is an important mechanism underlying antimicrobial resistance of biofilms and has often been incorrectly quantitated. We adopted a rationalized antibiotic agar-diffusion model to accurately interpret experimental results of a widely-accepted biofilm penetration.
